I saw a video on YouTube the other day about making your own Begleri. Which is a basic skill toy with short string and weights on both ends. I grew up playing other skill toys such as Kendama and Yo-yo grade school. The video was a showing how you could make one yourself versus purchasing one online so I was intrigued.

Finding the Resources

I had this paracord survival bracelet that I got in grade school.

I then went to The Home Depot and got four basic weighted Hex Nuts (Might not be exact model) for around ~16¢.

I then cleaned the logo with some nail polish:

Disassembly and Assembly

I started by first dissembling the paracord survival bracelet:

This way we had two full strings (Black and Neon) to work with. I decided the neon would look better for the weights and the black as the base for the main string.

I started with weaving the bolts together (two sets as a pair):

I then burned the strings together to complete the weave and tied a (Constrictor knot?)
